How do I apply?

Students will complete an application form and submit it via mail, fax or hand deliver to Pride High School at 500 N Pecos Street, Lockhart, TX 78644.

Who is eligible?

All Lockhart High School students who are in grades 10-12th and have completed one semester of high school or more and speak to a counselor to understand what Pride offers. Students must be between 15-21 years old. Each student undergoes an interview process as part of the selection process.

What documentation is required?

School records that are required include Birth Certificates, Immunization records, Transcripts and EOC scores.

Transportation :

Transportation is available to students who live in-district and register with the transportation department.

Extra-Curricular Activities:

Pride High School students do not participate in extracurricular activities but do participate in community service events such as the Caldwell County Food Bank and Historical Museum.

Day Care Program:

The Lockhart Community Education Program offers child care available at no cost for some students attending. The Cub House center is licensed by the State Department of Human Services. Registration must be completed at the community education office.

Curriculum:

Pride offers the Foundation Plan with the Multi-disciplinary endorsements. Students are expected to complete 22/26 credits meeting local and state requirements as well as pass the 5 required STAAR EOC exams to graduate. Transcripts are reviewed prior to and upon enrollment at Pride High School.
